On Wednesday, June 19 (at 6 PM) join Priscilla Cookson at Barn Gallery for her workshop: Writing Poetry Inspired by Art & Music!

Priscilla Cookson is a talented teacher who encourages people to find their poetic voices. Join us for a festive evening of art, music, poetry and surprises.

As a 2019 Finalist for the Carolyn Forche’ Inaugural Humanitarian Poetry Prize, Cookson’s work is to be included in Elusions: Refugee Poems 2019 (ed. James Adams & Peter Anderson). She is also published in A Good Fat Poetry Anthology of 114 Women Poets in honor of International Women’s Day.

A performance poet, whose main theme is war and war refugees, Cookson has just recorded her first CD: Painted Boko Haram.

This fun event is perfect for both budding and experience wordsmiths – excellent for all levels and all ages!
