From May 21st to October 13th\, 2025\, Barn Gallery throws open its doors to a season of captivating exhibitions showcasing the finest works by juried OAA artists. \nBut the journey doesn’t end there: Delve deeper into the world of art with engaging programs that explore the creative process and ignite your own artistic spark. Unleash your inner artist with hands-on workshops and demos. Whether you’re a seasoned creative or just starting your artistic journey\, find inspiration and guidance at the actual place where Maine’s enviable artistic roots run the deepest. \nOPENING EXHIBITIONS: This exciting new season of art exhibitions and programs by artists of the Ogunquit Art Association begins with their Opening Exhibitions — running Wednesday\, May 21st through Saturday June 21st (with a Gala Reception on Saturday\, May 24th from 4-7 PM). There will also be a Gallery Talk with showcase artists Photographer Karen Bushold & Printmaker Carol Travers Lummus on Thursday\, June 5th at 6pm. \nBarn Gallery is located at 3 Hartwig Lane in Ogunquit\, Maine — at the corner of Shore Road & Bourne Lane. \nAdditional Information About the Opening Exhibitions at Barn GalleryRECEPTION: Join us on Saturday\, May 24th 2025 (from 4-7 PM) for our “Gala Reception for Opening Exhibitions”. Admission to the Reception is FREE. \nBarn Gallery will show the work of Artist Members of the OAA (painters\, graphic artists\, photographers\, and sculptors) in our big\, bright\, cool\, and airy spaces. \nThe Sculpture Court will show work of the OAA Sculptors as well as the work of Invited New England Sculptors \nOur Opening-Season Exhibitions will feature: “OAA Expressions” (an exhibition with a wide variety of subject and medium); OAA Artist Showcases by Photographer Karen Bushold & Printmaker Carol Travers Lummus; our Expanded Collectors Gallery (featuring ready-to-hang artwork\, no larger than 16×20 — and all priced no higher than $850); plus an Invited New England Sculptors exhibit in our outdoor Sculpture Court. \nAlthough there is no substitution for seeing art in person\, we are pleased to announce that virtual versions of our exhibitions will be made available on barngallery.org. I can readily explain the technique (the process of etching which can be found at my website)\, alas\, for me to explain the meaning of my work is like asking an author to draw a picture describing his novel … like asking a daisy to explain horticulture. With my line work\, I take spaghetti for a walk. That is when I am in my zone.
