Channeling the sense of a romantic explorer\, he composes works that capture rocks\, sea and sky with powerful luminosity and polish. The result is deeply sensory – a body of work that reflects and floats alongside nature’s mysteriousness and majesty. \nLearn more about Jeffrey Fitzgerald: jeffreytfitzgerald.com \n  \nAbout David Wade:\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n David Wade\n \n \n \n\nARTIST STATEMENT \nAs a photographer\, I think my goal is to perceive and make visible the slow\, relentless and barely-seen passage of time\, to capture the mystery of the moment\, of what is about to happen or what is about to pass\, and to collect and preserve meaningful visual artifacts for the future. While much of my work tends to be documentary\, I also enjoy making photographs that investigate the boundaries between the real and unreal\, the possible and impossible\, exploring the thin line that separates the everyday and the imaginary. It’s a little like alchemy; with luck\, the untethered\, liberated images behave like kites\, and give rise to a sense of suspended disbelief\, while revealing the magic in the ordinary. My goal as an artist is to free the psyche and re-invent the dream. I want my photographs to inspire and communicate a fresh sense of wonder. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION \nDave Wade has published two books: THE WORLD OF THE TRAPP FAMILY (Anderson Wade Publications) and THE WORLD OF LOUISA MAY ALCOTT (Harper Collins). He is working on a third book about Portland\, Maine’s working waterfront. He is represented by Kingman Gallery\, Deer Isle\, Maine and OAA at The Barn Gallery\, Ogunquit\, Maine. He is a member of the Union of Maine Visual Artists (UMVA). Dave lived in Japan for a dozen years doing business and editorial photography. \nDave is a fierce advocate for the protection of the working waterfront and an avid jazz fan. Find him every Wednesday hosting Juke\, Jive + Jazz on WMPG Community Radio. \nLearn more about David Wade: davewadephoto.com \n  \n  \nDOWNLOAD: Barn Gallery Quick Calendar Of Events\n
