Join Pamela duLong Williams for an inspiring workshop on the art of still life painting. \nOil paint lends itself to the joy of creativity. \nIt is forgiving.  It is organic. It is malleable.  It is transformative. It is inspiring. \nFor that reason\, it is an excellent introduction medium to painting. \nIt is said Winslow Homer would not let his students work in water color until they mastered oil. \nThe goal of this workshop is to strengthen your understanding of the tools and techniques of painting with oil paints. One day of painting with Pamela will help you improve. \nWhether you are an experienced artist or a ‘first time’ oil painter this one day workshop will reinforce and inform your knowledge of picture making and help you to develop your ideas and inspirations. \n****The demonstration given the night before the workshop is the introduction to the workshop. If one is attending the workshop it is strongly recommended that you attend the demo. It  will give you an idea of where to begin your own painting and help you to make your compositional and color choices. Most importantly it will prepare you – as a starting point – for the next day. \nSpaces are limited for this popular workshop\, so pre-registration is highly recommended. Call Barn Gallery: 207.646.8400. \nAbout The Workshop Instructor: Pamela duLong WilliamsPamela duLong Williams attended the Art Students League\, NYC\, Boston Museum School of Fine Art\, and graduated from Vesper George School of Art\, Boston\, MA. \nShe has taught painting in oil at Silvermine School of Art\, New Canaan\, CT; UNH\, Durham\, NH; Coolidge Art Center\, Portsmouth\, NH; Heartwood College of Art\, Kennebunk\, ME; Rowayton Art Center\, Rowayton\, CT; as well as numerous workshops in this country and abroad since 1976. \nHer works have exhibited in competitions and collections such as the National Academy\, NYC; Allied Artists\, NYC; Creditianstalt\, NYC; The Louis Williams Cone Collection; The State House Collection of Boston; Artist’s Magazine; American Artist Magazine; Coastal Living Magazine; as well as numerous galleries in this country and abroad. \nIn addition to being a juried artist-member of the Ogunquit Art Association\, she is also currently an active member of Silvermine Guild of Artists\, New Canaan\, CT; The Copley Society\, Boston\, MA; and the Portrait Society of America. \nBarn Gallery 2027: Exhibitions\, Gallery Talks\, Workshops\, Demos\, Auction\, More…Learn more about the Barn Gallery 2027 Schedule: barngallery.org/2027-season \nLEARN MOREConnect With #BarnGallery on Instagram\n\n	\n	\n \n	\n \n ARTWORK: Lynn Syzmanski; Overstory; mahogany & cop\n \n \n	\n\n	\n \n ARTWORK: Scott Schnepf; Black Marble; oil on panel\n \n \n	\n	\n\n	\n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n Follow on Instagram

SUMMARY:Fall Art Exhibitions 2026 at Barn Gallery in Ogunquit Maine
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 season of art exhibitions and programs by artists of the Ogunquit Art Association at Barn Gallery continues with their Fall Exhibitions — which include artist showcases for Charles Laurier Dufour (Photography) and Annie Lemieux (Photography) — running Wednesday\, September 9th through Monday\, October 12th\, 2026 (with an Opening Reception on Saturday\, September 12th from 4–7 PM AND a Showcase Artists Talk on Saturday\, September 19th from 4–5:30 PM). \nBarn Gallery is located at 3 Hartwig Lane in Ogunquit\, Maine — at the corner of Shore Road & Bournes Lane. \nAdditional Information About the Fall Art Exhibitions at Barn Gallery in 2026RECEPTION: Join us on Saturday\, September 12th (from 4–7 PM) for our “Opening Reception for Fall Exhibitions.” Admission to the Reception is FREE. \nAs the season turns and the coastal light takes on its autumn quality\, Barn Gallery will show the work of Artist Members of the OAA (painters\, graphic artists\, photographers\, and sculptors) in our big\, bright\, and airy spaces. The Sculpture Court will show work of the OAA Sculptors as well as the work of Invited New England Sculptors. \nOur Fall Exhibitions will feature: “Ogunquit Art Association Members’ Show” (an exhibition with a wide variety of subject and medium); OAA Artist Showcases by Photographer Charles Laurier Dufour & Photographer/Painter Annie Lemieux; our Expanded Collectors Gallery (featuring ready-to-hang artwork\, no larger than 16×20 — and all priced no higher than $850); plus an Invited New England Sculptors exhibit in our outdoor Sculpture Court. \nAbout the Showcase Artists\nAnnie Lemieux – Photography\nA lifetime Maine resident\, Annie Lemieux works in photography and painting\, drawn to the way coastal light shifts across the seasons — the particular quality of a moment\, she says\, when words alone are not enough to express what one is feeling. Her work has been exhibited at the Saco Museum and recognized with awards including the Juror’s Choice Award at KPT ArtHouse in Kennebunk. Lemieux holds a BFA and BS in Art Education from the University of Southern Maine and has pursued graduate work at Heartwood College of Art. \nCharles Laurier Dufour – Photography\nCharles Laurier Dufour creates fine art figure photography by placing nude models within Maine’s landscapes and seascapes\, with a strong emphasis on composition\, light\, line\, and form. His work ranges from the purely aesthetic to the deliberately evocative and narrative — at times the figure becomes an extension of the earth itself\, at others an embodiment of human emotion inhabiting a place long after the moment has passed. Dufour’s work has been exhibited at Studio 53 in Boothbay Harbor and in a solo show at Rogue in Lewiston\, and has earned awards in juried competitions in both the US and Canada. \nAlthough there is no substitution for seeing art in person\, we are pleased to announce that virtual versions of our exhibitions will be made available on barngallery.org. Also\, much of the work exhibited will additionally be shared on our Barn Gallery Facebook and Instagram accounts. \nAt A Glance:\nFall Exhibitions: September 9 – October 12\nOgunquit Art Association Members’ Show\nShowcases:\n— Charles Laurier Dufour – Photography\n— Annie Lemieux – Photography\nInvited New England Sculptors\nExpanded Collectors Gallery \nReceptions + Gallery Talks:\nOpening Reception: Saturday\, September 12th\, 4–7 PM\nGallery Talk: Saturday\, September 19th – 4 PM (with showcase artists Photographer Charles Laurier Dufour & Photographer Annie Lemieux) \nNOTE: On Monday\, October 12th (Indigenous People’s Day)\, Barn Gallery closes at 5 pm for the season. \nBarn Gallery 2027: Exhibitions\, Gallery Talks\, Workshops\, Demos\, Auction\, More…Learn more about the Barn Gallery 2027 Schedule: barngallery.org/2027-season \nLEARN MOREConnect With #BarnGallery on Instagram\n\n	\n	\n \n	\n \n ARTWORK: Lynn Syzmanski; Overstory; mahogany & cop\n \n \n	\n\n	\n \n ARTWORK: Scott Schnepf; Black Marble; oil on panel\n \n \n	\n	\n\n	\n\n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n Follow on Instagram
