Dear Friends, Another exciting year has passed, packed with fine exhibitions, artist talks and workshops – all presented by the artists of the Ogunquit Art Association.
We began with the Student Show in May. The Open Regional Juried Show was selected by Andres Verzosa and Bob Keyes– a lively tag-team of judges. We revitalized the 70th OAA Art Auction with the help of our new auctioneer, Bill Milliken of Barridoff Galleries. Our Showcase artists – Lou Kohl Morgan, Lennie Mullaney, Shaune McCarthy, Shiao Ping Wang, Merrill Black Aharonian and Pat Gerkin – amplified our understanding of their work with well-attended gallery talks. Russel Whitten led a plein aire painting workshop at the Laurent Farm. We held Memorial Shows for Rosalind Fedeli and Louis Rizzo. And finally,we renewed our relationship with Ogunquit Performing Arts by hosting a Piano Festival to end the season in early October.
Improvements to Barn Gallery itself, included a long overdue WIFI expansion and upgrade, as well as a major redesign and renovation of the Triangle Garden at the corner of Bourne Lane and Shore Road.
We celebrated the retirement of Gallery Manager, Hara Harding, after 16 years of enthusiastic and capable service. Thank you, Hara!
And you were a part of it all! We are grateful to our community and to all who visited this past season. Barn Gallery’s exhibitions and programs by local artists are a vital part of the lively arts scene of the Southern Maine Seacoast.
Each year we count on the generosity of our Friends and visitors to support Barn Gallery’s artistic mission and historic building. Your tax-deductible donations to the Ogunquit Arts Collaborative, – the 501 (c) 3 not-for profit corporation that owns and administers the gallery – support the exhibitions and programs of Barn Gallery itself.
Please consider how much Barn Gallery offers you and our community. Send your contribution to:
Ogunquit Arts Collaborative, PO Box 794, Ogunquit ME 03907.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you in 2025 as we continue to bring you the best original art in the Seacoast Region!
Winter well!
