The Ogunquit Arts Collaborative and the Ogunquit Art Association (Maine’s Original Artists’ Group | est. 1928) are very pleased to present a digital preview of our “OAA Expressions” exhibit from our 2024 Fall Exhibitions at Barn Gallery.
Visiting Ogunquit as the cooler months begin to move in is a gift to the senses. Colors appear brighter. You feel a palpable sense of the changing seasons. When the crisp autumn air meanders through the streets of our village, it carries with it the scent of the ocean, mingling with the earthy aroma of fallen leaves plus pumpkin-spiced baked goods from local restaurants and inns, all signaling the arrival of Ogunquit’s fall season. For visitors to Barn Gallery, our Fall Exhibitions are a long-awaited reunion with the artistic heritage that has flourished in this seaside town for nearly a century.
Inside Barn Gallery, the spaces come alive with a new burst of creativity, showcasing an eclectic array of paintings, graphics, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media works. Each piece is crafted by a juried member of the Ogunquit Art Association, reflecting the artistic richness of the community. The ‘OAA Expressions’ exhibit (see below for a digital preview) remains a highlight, offering a compelling collection of diverse styles and techniques where creativity reigns free. This exhibit not only showcases the OAA’s enduring dedication to artistic excellence but also provides a poignant glimpse into the thriving artistic spirit that continues to define Ogunquit as another New England autumn settles in.
Unfiltered passion. Authentic art. 96 years strong. Barn Gallery and the Ogunquit Art Association: Where artistic heritage ignites contemporary creation.
You’ll definitely want to stop in to Barn Gallery in person to see all of this (and more) art up close, as well as our showcase exhibitions for OAA artist-members Merrill Black Aharonian and Patricia Gerkin.
While you’re on property at Barn Gallery, don’t forget to step into the Sculpture Court, where the works of OAA Sculptors and Invited New England Sculptors come to life against the earth-tone and fiery hues of the season. It’s a unique al fresco art experience, a wonderful way to appreciate early fall in coastal Maine.
The Barn Gallery, nestled on the corner of Shore Road and Bourne Lane in Ogunquit, welcomes you seven days a week (Monday – Saturday 11 AM – 5 PM and Sunday 1 – 5 PM) until October 14th, 2024.
While nothing compares to experiencing art in person, we understand the desire to stay connected. Virtual versions of select exhibitions will be available on our website, barngallery.org. Follow us on Barn Gallery’s Facebook and Instagram accounts for glimpses into this vibrant artistic community.
