The Ogunquit Arts Collaborative and the Ogunquit Art Association (Maine’s Original Artists’ Group | est. 1928) are very pleased to present a digital preview of the “OAA Expressions” exhibit from our 2024 Late Summer Exhibitions at Barn Gallery.

This seasonal shift also marks the arrival of the Late Summer Exhibitions at Barn Gallery, where the Ogunquit Art Association (OAA) continues its long-standing tradition of uniting a diversity of the area’s professional artists under one roof. From August 7th to September 7th, the gallery buzzes with a dynamic blend of tradition and modernity in “OAA Expressions,” an exhibition that invites you to experience the broad spectrum of our region’s invigorating artistic energy.

For nearly a century, the OAA has played a pivotal role in shaping the cultural landscape of southern Maine, drawing artists and art lovers alike to this coastal town. Since its founding in 1928 by Charles Woodbury and fellow visionaries, the OAA has provided a platform for artists “to display that which is, in his or her own judgment, his or her finest work, free from the usual vagaries of popular opinion and fashions of taste. This brings into view a true representation of art from the artists’ point of view.” This enduring commitment to authentic artistic expression is what lends the “OAA Expressions” exhibition its unique and compelling character.
