The Ogunquit Arts Collaborative and the Ogunquit Art Association (Maine’s Original Artists’ Group | est. 1928) are very pleased to present a digital preview of our “OAA Expressions” exhibit from our 2024 Opening Exhibitions at Barn Gallery.
The scent of salty air and blooming hydrangeas mingles with the excited chatter as Ogunquit welcomes back its summer visitors. Among them are art enthusiasts, who have been patiently waiting for the much-anticipated annual opening exhibitions at Barn Gallery. For these culturally curious travelers, Barn Gallery isn’t just a stop on their itinerary, it’s a highlight. The gallery’s opening exhibitions are a vibrant homecoming, a chance to reconnect with the artistic spirit that has thrummed through Ogunquit for nearly a century.
The gallery spaces are blossoming new, once again, adorned with an eclectic array of paintings, graphics, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media artworks. Each piece is the creation of a juried member of the Ogunquit Art Association. The ‘OAA Expressions’ exhibit (see below for a digital preview) is always a particular highlight, an enthralling kaleidoscope of styles and mediums where artistic expression reigns supreme. It’s a snapshot of OAA’s unwavering commitment to artistic integrity, offering visitors a timely window into the effervescent activity and inspiring soul of the present-day Ogunquit Art Colony.
Unfiltered passion. Authentic art. 96 years strong. Barn Gallery and the Ogunquit Art Association: Where artistic heritage ignites contemporary creation.
You’ll definitely want to stop in to Barn Gallery in person to see all of this (and more) art up close, as well as our showcase exhibitions for OAA artist-members Lou Kohl Morgan (painting) and Lennie Mullaney (painting).
While you’re on property at Barn Gallery, don’t forget to step into the Sculpture Court, where the works of OAA Sculptors and Invited New England Sculptors come to life against the backdrop of the season. It’s a unique al fresco art experience, a wonderful way to appreciate early summer in coastal Maine.
The Barn Gallery, nestled on the corner of Shore Road and Bourne Lane in Ogunquit, welcomes you seven days a week (Monday – Saturday 11 AM – 5 PM and Sunday 1 – 5 PM) until October 14th, 2024.
While nothing compares to experiencing art in person, we understand the desire to stay connected. Virtual versions of select exhibitions will be available on our website, barngallery.org. Follow us on Barn Gallery’s Facebook and Instagram accounts for glimpses into this vibrant artistic community.
