Join us at Barn Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine on Tuesday, July 12 (from 11 AM – 4 PM) for an inspiring “Watercolor Workshop Still-Life: Simple Values & Shadows” led by Ogunquit Art Association artist-member Russel Whitten.

Suggested donation $50

This class will provide training in the direct observation of form and its surrounding elements.

The emphasis will be on drawing and controlling watercolor media while recreating the appearance of nature with use of surrounding still life forms.

Demonstrating with watercolor, Russel will show the development of forms as derived from the study of perspective, composition, value and color. Breaking down the visual study into simple values as a means to understand shadows and the illusion of 3-dimensional forms will be the foundation for this class.

Preregistration suggested. Call Barn Gallery after May 25.
