Ogunquit Arts Collaborative and Ogunquit Art Association (OAA) are pleased to offer this digital preview of OAA Expressions, part of our Fall 2023 Exhibitions on display at Barn Gallery from September 13th until October 9th.

As the brisk and color-filled winds of autumn begin to sweep through the charming town of Ogunquit, Maine, a sense of anticipation fills the air. It’s a time when the vibrant hues of fall foliage dance in harmony with the creative spirit that thrives here. Ogunquit, home of the storied Ogunquit Art Colony, acts as an evocative canvas where art, nature, and community converge — and the Barn Gallery has long stood at the heart of this timeless narrative.

It’s the perfect season of the year for art lovers to visit Barn Gallery and mindfully appreciate a visually-arresting and thought-provoking exhibition certain to spark their inspiration!

OAA Expressions is a recurring exhibition wherein OAA’s juried artist-members (who have been selected for inclusion in the group by their peers on the basis of high professional standards) liberate their finest creations from the whims of popular opinion and fleeting trends, offering you an unfiltered glimpse into their artistry, skill sets, processes, and souls. OAA Expressions stands as a true representation of art, as seen through the eyes of those who have dedicated their lives to its pursuit. The result is a captivating showcase, a deeply cultural experience, filled with unexpected turns of flair and virtuosity — an eclectic exhibition, by design, that’s always certain to deeply reward the presence, focus, and contemplation of Barn Gallery visitors.

You’ll definitely want to stop in to Barn Gallery in person to see all of this (and more) art up close, as well as our showcase exhibitions for OAA artist-members Russel Whitten and Pamela duLong Williams.

While you’re on property at Barn Gallery, don’t forget to step into the Sculpture Court, where the works of OAA Sculptors and Invited New England Sculptors come to life against the backdrop of the season. It’s a unique outdoor gallery experience that embodies the essence of autumn in coastal Maine.

The Barn Gallery, nestled on the corner of Shore Road and Bourne Lane in Ogunquit, welcomes you seven days a week (Monday – Saturday 11 AM – 5 PM and Sunday 1 – 5 PM) until October 9th, 2023.

While nothing compares to experiencing art in person, we understand the desire to stay connected. Virtual versions of select exhibitions will be available on our website, barngallery.org. Follow us on Barn Gallery’s Facebook and Instagram accounts for glimpses into this vibrant artistic community.
