Continue reading below for some excerpts from a discussion we had with Lou Kohl Morgan about her background and work.
How long have you been a member of the Ogunquit Art Association?
I presented my application for membership and examples of my recent work in June, 2010. I have been a member for 14 years.
What is your concept for the showcase?
This show is 34 works from the past 10 years. Media includes: oils on canvas, watercolors, pastels and ink drawings.
This exhibit documents my interests in the figure and landscape. Drawing has been my focus. Frequent visits to the drawing study rooms of the MFA and the Fogg museums were focused on Rembrandt and Degas.
Tell us about how this showcase moves your art journey forward.
Teaching introduction to drawing for 29 years has been a challenge with many rewards.
