The Ogunquit Arts Collaborative and the Ogunquit Art Association (Maine’s Original Artists’ Group | est. 1928) are very pleased to present a an online preview of the “OAA Expressions” exhibit from our 2025 Late-Summer Exhibitions at Barn Gallery.

As the salty coastal breezes of August begin to carry the first evidence of  impending autumn, Ogunquit slips into that magical in-between – where golden afternoons stretch long over Perkins Cove and the quality of Maine light takes on a deeper, more contemplative glow. It’s the perfect moment to wander off of Shore Road and into Barn Gallery, where the Ogunquit Art Association (OAA) celebrates its 2025 Late-Summer Exhibitions, running August 6th through September 6th.

At the heart of it all is “OAA Expressions,” a vibrant showcase of paintings, graphics, photography, and sculpture from the OAA’s professional artist members. Here, tradition and innovation collide in a riot of color, texture, and form – proof positive that Maine’s longest enduring artists’ group remains as dynamic as ever. Step inside the gallery’s airy, light-filled spaces and discover works that capture the essence of coastal Maine – and far beyond – through the unfiltered vision of the artists themselves.

This year’s exhibitions also bring special highlights:

• A 50th Anniversary Showcase honoring sculptor David Schneider, whose five-decade legacy with the OAA reflects a lifetime of mastery in three-dimensional form.
• The Expanded Collectors Gallery, featuring accessible, ready-to-hang pieces (all 16×20 or smaller, priced under $850)—perfect for taking home a piece of Ogunquit’s artistic spirit.
• The Sculpture Court, where the work of OAA sculptors mingles with fresh perspectives from Invited New England Sculptors, transforming the outdoor space into a playground of shape and shadow.
