Barn Gallery certainly knows how to throw an art soirée!!! In 2019, Barn Gallery is celebrating its 60th birthday – along with the 91st anniversary of the Ogunquit Art Association (OAA)!

As our juried artists met for the first time this year at Barn Gallery to refine the plans for our 2019 season of exhibitions, workshops, gallery talks, demos, and events — everyone was pleasantly surprised to see some of the exciting upgrades at the gallery!

Thanks to the valiant volunteer efforts by Todd Bezold (who organized the undertaking), Janet Ledoux, Amy Nolans, Sherry Palmer, Tom Hibschman, Kim Muse, Antoinette Schultz, Terry Downs, Shaun West, Michael Walek, and the fast hand of John Andrews PLUS some plaster, tools, and paint – the gallery walls are now looking as pristine as they probably did on opening day 60 years ago!  A total of 80 hours were spent working on the gallery walls. So fresh and so clean – and absolutely ready to host some AMAZING work for our Opening Exhibitions (beginning Wednesday, May 22nd – with an Opening Reception on Saturday, May 25th from 5-7:30 PM – click here to learn more).

NEW FOR 2019: Additional Environmental Comfort for Your Art Viewing Pleasure…

Our other BIG news announcement by the Ogunquit Arts Collaborative (OAC) is the installation of new HVAC units throughout the ENTIRE Barn Gallery!

When you visit Barn Gallery to take part in our vibrant Ogunquit cultural events (like our 68th OAA Art Auction on 8/3/19) you’ll be cool as a cucumber during the midsummer’s heat — and noticeably cozier during our cooler shoulder seasons!

Thanks to everyone who helped make these Barn Gallery improvements possible – and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
