Artist Statement
I find my inspiration in the decaying structures of rural New England and the stories they reveal. By presenting places of shelter and sanctuary as disassembled or decaying I use these structures as metaphor to explore the temporary nature of everyday life and the many possibilities for transformation. These works are created by embedding collaged woodcuts in beeswax.
