Artist Statement
Observation of the world around me has been my inspiration. I am intrigued by the movement and interaction of different media – watching it and going with the flow. My work may begin with free-form abstraction and morph into more realistic aspects, or start from a point of reality and then travel in a more intuitive direction. As an artist and teacher I enjoy learning from every experience. It all provides a history of information on which to draw. All the gathered understanding contributes, with a nod to Charles Woodbury, to an artist’s Personal Equation.
