Artist Statement
Lennie Mullaney is both an artist and a teacher. She maintains a studio in The Button Factory in Portsmouth. However, much of her work is done “en plein aire” in urban and rural locations. She is an observational artist who responds to the environment around her. “Painterly” in her style, she strives to simplify that which is observed to shape, color and texture.
Lennie holds a Masters in Fine Arts in Painting, a MS in Art Education, and Sixth Year in Education. She has twice studied painting abroad in Italy, Haystack and Penland Art and Craft Art School. She is a member of the NH Art Association, Ogunquit Art Barn and Kittery Art Association. Her paintings can be seen at the Barn Gallery in Ogunquit, ME, at NHAA in Portsmouth, NH and at www.lenniemullaney.com.
