Artist Statement
‘Maine: The Way Life Used to Be.” These three linocuts, drawn from life at Ogunquit Beach and in York Beach in the late 1980s, recall a quieter time, a time when we came to the beach to relax and enjoy long, lovely days with friends and family. I still live in Maine but my current linocuts and paintings are full of politics and protest against COVID-19 and the current destruction of the world as we know it. I love these pictures of an earlier life.
