It was a Memorial Day Weekend art event to remember at Barn Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine!!!

The Ogunquit Art Association (OAA) – Maine’s Original Artists’ Group | est. 1928 – is celebrating their 91st Anniversary in 2019 with a variety of exhibitions, gallery talks, demonstrations, workshops, and more at their Barn Gallery headquarters (located at the corner of Shore Road and Bourne Lane).

This exciting new season of art exhibitions and programs by artists of the Ogunquit Art Association kicked off with their Gala Reception for Opening Exhibitions on Saturday, May 25th (from 5-7:30 PM).

After a festive ceremony to begin the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the current location of Barn Gallery, the sizable crowd of art aficionados, Ogunquit neighbors, and juried member artists of the Ogunquit Art Association took in the sights and experience of the OAA Expressions Exhibition, the Drawing Exhibition, the work of invited New England sculptors, and the showcases featuring work by Tanya Fletcher and John Snyder.

There was food, wine, discussions about artistic techniques, and the ability to meet up with familiar (and also plenty of new) faces after the winter hiatus! See the photos by Eric Taubert and David Wade below.

Didn’t make it to the opening? Not to worry – these exhibitions continue at Barn Gallery until June 22nd!
