This was an event that left a lasting impression on all who attended; and the celebrated Barn Gallery provided the perfect backdrop to showcase the remarkable works of OAA Artist Members, including painters, graphic artists, photographers, and sculptors.

The Opening Exhibitions (click here to see a digital preview of the show) offered a delightful smorgasbord of artistic expressions. “OAA Expressions” celebrated the wide range of subject matter and mediums within the OAA community. From mesmerizing paintings and etchings, to captivating graphic art and evocative photography, the exhibition showcased the immense talent and creativity of the Ogunquit Art Association artists.

The Sculpture Court featured the impressive creations of both OAA Sculptors and invited sculptors from New England. This outdoor space provided a unique opportunity to experience three-dimensional art in harmony with nature. The sculptures, with their diverse styles and forms, ignited conversations, and inspired awe among the attendees.

In addition to the OAA expressions exhibition, the work of two showcase artists also shone brightly at the Gala Reception for the 2023 Opening Exhibitions at Barn Gallery.

Dustan Knight, a professional artist, educator, and art writer, presented a series of breathtaking works that invited viewers to delve into her vivid world of memories, places, times, and feelings. Antoinette Prien Schultze, a celebrated sculptor whose work is in university collections, botanical gardens, and museums, mesmerized the visitors to the exhibition with her pieces, capturing forms that are visually beautiful and simultaneously exhibit the contrasting attributes of strength and frailty. Their respective showcases were a testament to their artistic prowess and left exhibition attendees in pleasant states of observation and reflection.
