Mixed Media Workshop
Wednesday, July 21, 10 AM – 3 PM
Jayne Adams: Mixing It Up with Mixed Media
Suggested donation $50
This hands-on workshop will explore creative applications of more than one media. By combining papers, acrylic mediums, paints, and various fiber materials, we will create unique surfaces with an emphasis on shapes, unified tones, and textures. This collage/assemblage-style techniques allows for unexpected results, surprises, and can be “messy.” $5.00 materials fee.
Printmaking Workshop

Gayle Fitzpatrick: Printmaking – Process & Exploration

Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric. Participants will begin with a single object being used to make infinite images of that object. They will gain a basic understanding of the printing process and will explore the printing possibilities of natural and found objects. We’ll also undertake the single block relief printing process as we complete our day, by developing a Lino print: carving the linoleum block, inking it, and printing a small edition.
Watercolor Workshop

Do you love Big, Loosely painted, Bright colored flowers? This fun workshop uses real summer flowers as inspiration. The instructor guides you step by step with demonstrations and individual attention, helping you relax and let your imagination and creativity flow! All levels of skill can make these summer bouquets in watercolor. This is Dustan’s most popular workshop so reserve your space soon. And welcome back to those that have taken it before – Every time you approach painting flowers this way the results are slightly different – exciting and brilliant!
Mixed Media Workshop

Ethel Hills: Bands of Color in Watercolor & Collage

Enjoy an art play-day and learn a new technique. We’ll be making small, colorful,cabstract landscapes that celebrate your spirit! One of the fun aspects of this experience is using bits and pieces of old paintings to help create new paintings. Although watercolor will be our primary painting medium, we’ll also be using some less traditional papers.
