Artist Statement
Maine coastal sites are my pilgrimages. Presence yields to memory in each two dimensional culling of light, gesture, and surf. A myriad of ocean experiences must become a single salient present within each work. I aim to elude the literal to render nature as felt, walked, breathed, and condensed.
